By relentlessly testing our vehicle you make sure that the PAL-V is legal, safe, and reliable for our customers. As a vehicle test lead you have an important role in preparing, executing, and evaluation of tests of prototype vehicles. The Vehicle Test Organization (VTO) is a department that works closely with all engineering teams. The department’s tasks are:

· Co-develop with engineering test objectives, plans, and requirements.

· Define and perform safety assessments.

· Perform various objective and subjective vehicle tests.

· Develop and maintain vehicle measurement tests and tools.

· Co-decide on all test vehicles: vehicle planning, vehicle updates, vehicle configuration, etc.

Your main tasks

· Execute project management of tests:
- coordinate all activities related to and during the flight or drive - tests. Including (de)briefings, logistics, facility, vehicle configuration, test equipment, etc.

· You are the linking pin between Engineering, Project Management and Testing, sometimes also with Manufacturing and Supplier Quality Assurance.

· Competent team player to work well in multidisciplined teams.

· You can perform (lead) design engineer tasks such as developing test plans, safety assessments, and test equipment.

· Support the development of the vehicle certification program.

· Sometimes create/support with test reports.

· Support updates, fixes and troubleshooting of all test vehicles.

· Together with your team, you drive continuous improvements of test processes and results.

· Support and improve overall safety aspects during test preparation, performing, and execution.


· Engineering degree or equivalent by experience.

· Excellent communication and leadership skills.

· Hands-on knowledge and experience with organizing tests/events.

· A pre would be testing experience, with a leading (aerospace or automotive) team.

· Strong written communication skills in English and Dutch.

· You live in the Netherlands because you need to be able to reach our office and test facilities.

· You are willing to travel in Europe for work (test expected to take partly place in Europe).

· Driver license.

· Pilot license (pre).
