As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer you are responsible for the development of software for various systems in our vehicle. At a later stage also for setups for service/diagnosis of these systems.
The systems are often controlled by modern microcontrollers, which communicate with each other via a fieldbus system to form an integral whole. Some of these systems contain complex measurements and control algorithms that need to be developed and verified. A "failure mode mindset" and pragmatic attitude are essential here.
About the position
Most of the work will be in the field of developing automated test systems for embedded software, but helping in the development of the embedded software itself is also part of the job description. In addition, you will be closely involved in the verification of the hardware and implementation of certification tests. In addition, you will develop test setups for automated testing of the various systems during manufacturing and for diagnostic purposes.
Your Requirements
- At least 5 years of work experience as a "Bare Metal" Embedded Software Engineer.
- Experience with testing and documenting software for embedded electronics.
- Experience with communication protocols.
- Excellent written expression skills in English.
- Experience with control loops and motion control is an advantage.
- Experience with configuration management and build servers is an advantage.
- DO178C experience is an advantage.
