(Senior) Cloud Engineer
The position
PAL-V is preparing for the start of vehicle production. The IT department plays a crucial role in this, both in the digital workplace and on the production floor. Topics such as data warehousing, BI, SIEM-SOC, RBAC and AI are becoming increasingly important. A close-knit and ambitious team is working on future-proof and scalable solutions, with a focus on collaboration, personal development and celebrating successes.
The working method is pragmatic and quality-oriented, with room for substantive discussion. The cloud engineering team works SCRUM Agile with Terraform/BICEP and Azure DevOps. There is an ambition to continue developing towards continuous integration and delivery.
PAL-V is growing and offers opportunities for specialisation and leadership. We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with broad knowledge of Microsoft Azure, who can design at the architectural level and strengthen the team in terms of content. Quality, scalability, maintainability and security are central. Seniority is demonstrated by technical expertise and a team-oriented attitude: listening, helping, coordinating and connecting.
Your future job
Tasks and responsibilities
- Translate PAL-V’s IT ambitions into architecture, design, implementation, and management processes.
- Extensive experience in developing Azure cloud solutions.
- Building cloud solutions based on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with Terraform (preferred).
- Working in an Agile team with associated SCRUM ceremonies.
- Knowledge of and experience with setting up CI/CD development and release pipelines.
Soft(ware)skills
- Driven, ambitious and demonstrates ownership.
- Interested and helpful.
- Analytical and balanced pragmatism (making a good balance between a quick adequate solution and the need for a more “expensive” sustainable solution).
- Microsoft certified (or demonstrably skilled) in:
- Azure fundamentals;
- Azure developer associate;
- Azure solutions architect expert;
- DevOps engineer expert.
Your profile
- You are fluent in English.
- You have a higher professional education (HBO) or university education (WO) degree in computer science or another field of study with IT-related aspects or components.
- You have more than 5 years of work experience.
