The position

As Chief Independent System Monitoring (CISM), you are responsible for ensuring the Design Organisation’s (DO) compliance with all relevant requirements and overseeing the effective execution of activities under the guidance of the responsible managers. You will ensure that the design system is adequate and that all outsourced design activities comply with applicable regulations. You will report directly to the Head of Design Organisation (HoDO).

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance of design activities with established requirements and procedures according to the Design Organisation Handbook (DOH). 
  • Monitor the design management system and ensure adequacy. 
  • Conduct objective evaluations of design activities through audits and inspections. 
  • Identify non-conformities, identify causes, and coordinate corrective actions. 
  • Contribute to the development and updating of procedures to comply with current practices and regulations. 

Softwareskills

  • Working with Office 365.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, preferably aeronautical engineering, technical business administration or a related field.  
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related position within the aviation industry.  
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant regulations, including Part21 and other aviation standards.
  • Experience in planning, conducting and reporting audits.  
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Available from 1 November 2024.
