Cockpit overview of your role

As a Configuration Manager, you are the guardian of product configuration integrity across the full lifecycle of our highly complex and regulated product. You operate at the heart of our design organisation, ensuring that product definitions, baselines, and variants are consistently controlled, understandable, and decision‑ready.

Working according to the CM2 methodology, you establish and maintain configuration structures that enable controlled development, certification, production, and in‑service support. You ensure that changes do not just get approved, but land correctly in the right product variants, at the right time, with full traceability and regulatory compliance.

Where others see complexity, you bring clarity. You translate technical, regulatory, and business needs into a coherent configuration framework, including multiple product variants, 150% Bills of Material, effectivity management, and implementation point decisions.

By doing so, you ensure that our product is always “known, controlled, and certifiable” on paper and in reality.

This is what you'll navigate

As Configuration Manager, you operate at the core of a complex and highly regulated design organisation, where configuration discipline is essential to keeping the product developable, certifiable, and buildable. You define, implement, and maintain the configuration management framework in line with the CM2 methodology and ensure that product structures, baselines, and variants are consistently controlled throughout the product lifecycle.

You establish and govern 150% Bills of Material, multiple variants, and effectivity rules, enabling clear insight into which configuration applies at which moment and for which product. You play a key role in implementation point decisions by ensuring that configuration implications are fully understood and traceable across development, certification, and production.

Working closely with engineering, change coordination, production, supply chain, and certification, you act as a trusted advisor on configuration impact and feasibility.

What makes you a great fit

You bring structure to complex product environments and see configuration management as a critical enabler rather than a supporting task. You have solid experience in a regulated, technical domain and are comfortable taking ownership of configuration integrity across the product lifecycle.

You are well‑versed in CM2 principles and understand how to apply them pragmatically, including effectivity management, 150% BOMs, multiple variants, and implementation points. You operate independently, communicate clearly in English, and are confident in advising and challenging stakeholders when configuration clarity or compliance is at stake.

This role suits a senior professional who enjoys responsibility, precision, and influence, and who takes pride in enabling well‑founded decisions in a complex, evolving organisation.
