
Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
The position
We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who will make a significant contribution to the quality, superiority, and reliability of our products. In this role, you will be central to our product and organisational development processes. You will work independently and decisively, but also guide, influence, and support teams to raise the bar for quality across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will be conducting Internal, External, and Special Process Audits in accordance with the published Audit Master Plan, ensuring compliance with Part 21 / Production Organisation Exposition (POE) procedures and customer requirements. The feedback you carefully compile will be used to strengthen, adapt, and improve both our products and our processes.
Whether auditing suppliers, reviewing compliance parameters, diagnosing problems, or collaborating with colleagues, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive the future of our quality system. You will be part of a focused team that currently consists of a QA Engineer and a QA Manager, where your expertise will make a direct impact and help further grow and professionalise our quality organisation. This role requires ownership, critical thinking, and strong communication.
Your future job
Tasks and responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and special process audits;
- Assess documented information for conformance to airworthiness regulations;
- Review external requirements and translate these into internal procedures and processes;
- Initiate and implement improvements in close cooperation with Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering;
- Support customers, authorities, and regulatory third parties during audits;
- Establish, maintain, and monitor the Quality Program;
- Lead and support Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Action activities;
- Advise management and influence the quality strategy to ensure continuous compliance and excellence.
Skills and competencies
- Data analysis and complex problem-solving skills;
- Active listening and communication skills;
- Strong written communication skills, especially as concerns expressing written instructions and reports in the English language.
- Ability to work independently with ownership and accountability, while also providing guidance, direction, and constructive support to colleagues;
Your profile
- Engineering degree or equivalent by experience.
- Minimum of five years experience in aviation, preferably in a senior or lead QA role;
- Knowledge of EASA Regulations and Quality System standards (e.g. AS9100).
- Willing to travel for to visit Authorities, Customers and Suppliers (Europe and globally).
