Cockpit overview of your role

As a Wiring Design Engineer at PAL-V, you will be responsible for the design, development, and documentation of wiring harnesses and electrical interconnects in a safety-critical environment. You will ensure the proper integration of these wiring harnesses throughout the vehicle, from concept to final implementation, in both the flying and driving domains. You will collaborate closely with hardware, software, and mechanical teams, translating system-level requirements into detailed wiring designs. You play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and certifiability of PAL-V's wiring harness.

In this role, you are the focal point for wiring, working closely with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to ensure integration and manufacturability. You define wiring standards and designs in line with airworthiness, system requirements, and international standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and certification readiness. You develop wiring assemblies and harnesses, including component selection, schematics, and 3D routing, following PAL‑V guidelines and aerospace and automotive standards. You also produce clear and complete wiring documentation to support development, certification, and production.

What makes you a great fit

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field and have experience in wiring design within automotive, aerospace, off‑highway, or similar industries. You bring hands‑on experience with SolidWorks Electrical, including schematic design and routing, and possess strong documentation and communication skills. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.

You'll receive a solid an competitive base package. The fulltime role is classified within a salary range of € 4.398 and € 5.777 gross per month and attractive benefits, including allowances, an 8% holiday bonus, 27 vacation days with the option to buy more, and a solid pension scheme.
