Advanced Air Mobility: One Market, Two segments

Within the realm of Advanced Air Mobility, two distinct segments exist. The first is the FlyDrive segment, catering to professionals and individuals seeking a seamless door-to-door air mobility experience with flying cars.

The second is the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) segment, tailored for passengers who require a platform-to-platform air service comparable to a public transportation bus service. The UAM market makes use of so-called electrical Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) vehicles, often wrongly called flying cars or air taxis. A better term would be small 'air-busses'.

Segment 1: FlyDrive

The FlyDrive market segment allows professionals and individuals with a tool to travel from door to door by making use of the air. Typical journeys are between 200-1,000 km.

Segment 2: UAM

The Urban Air Mobility offers passengers a service to go from platform to platform similar to bus and metro services. These short flights are from the outskirts of the city to the inner city and typically are hops of 20-100km.

The FlyDrive segment will kick off the AAM industry. Allowing professional and private customers to FlyDrive from any door to any door in the world by making use of FlyDrive products.

Start of Urban Air Mobility Cargo operations

In co-existence with the FlyDrive market, the UAM market will start with cargo operations. Electrical Vertical Take Off and Landing vehicles (eVTOLS) will be flying goods from cargo hubs to the city outskirts and from strategic locations to be transported further into the city.

First passengers take to the sky in an eVTOL ('air-bus')
